"If I could give you one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then you would reaize how special you are to me."

Riding along to a place for a new beginning,
The dried up open fields,
The gray, dimmed sky,
not a single bird flying by,
The crackled up leaves falling off the few dead trees that remain,
Everything in this town has became history,
This place was once filled with romance,
short lived or never-ending romance,
Chats held at the local bar,
the young children playing in their yards,
the teens doing their secret illegal things in the middle of the woods,
Teens filled with rebellion,
Now it is all gone,
houses are falling apart,
Stores have been shut down,
As I drive away and you pass through that town,
all you will see is homes with broken windows,
long, twisting grass,
Spider webs in the corners,
Cracked, imperfect paved roads,
fainted paint in the surroundings,
but just remember, this town was once filled with life and how that remains in the history and stories being told by others.
