Congratulations, Friend,
You’ve finally succeeded.
When I met you I thought that perhaps
You would be different.
But you are not an exception after all.
There’s nothing special about you,
You’re just like all of the others.
That’s what you wanted, isn’t it?
I helped you when you needed it.
When you were down I pulled you up,
And got you back in the saddle.
When you needed to talk I listened.
But you have never done that for me.
You never really listened, did you?
Well, listen to this:
For as long as I can remember
You wanted to belong,
Ignoring my warnings like leaves on the wind.
Why would you want to be like them?
But I guess that’s just the price
Of fitting in.
So Congratulations, Friend,
On turning your back,
Becoming like them,
And fitting in.
And when you return from your voyage
I will be waiting on the shore
Debating if I should forgive you
After the long time that I spent forgotten, ignored.
Because I’m still deciding if I should
move on with my life
Or give you a second chance.
I believe that Friendship
Isn’t a one-way street.
And that you should always give back to others
What you would always hope to receive.
If I were you I’d want forgiveness
But again, if I were you
I wouldn’t deserve it.
After everything that we went through together
When you changed I hardly believed it.
So Congratulations, Friend
Here’s your second chance
Take it or leave it.

Wow. Just wow. This is amazing. It is so powerful. The emotion, the boldness, the hurt. I can really feel it. I love you poem. You should really pat yourself in the back. That's how good it is. You are an amazing poet. Keep it up.
