So dark, the night is
Not a creature in sight
Not a leaf yawning
Not a moon to shine
Time barely passing by
Every second feeling like eternity

Now raindrops reaching the ground
Each raindrop falling from leaf to leaf
The sun slowly climbing over the horizon
Calmly night turning into dawn
Clouds turning silver
Chasing the darkness away
