And the radiator continued to
click and cough
heat and the walls retained
their eleven coats of eggshell white paint
and the blinds remained partially drawn with trim rivers of sunlight prying
through the gaps, illuminating
a body sitting
in a chair,

dead.

Wow. One word at the very end completely changed the entire poem. :)

I like this poem. Creeped me out, tho im sure thats intended. Spaces before"dead" make it so drastic. Usually when I try that stuff, it sounds dumb. That means u Rock!
