My Brick Wall

if I built a wall of bricks
who would walk away?
who would break my day
and not bother to say
anything?
and if I built three more
to hide my face from the world
who would take the time
to tear them down
brick by brick
just to see if I’m ok in there?
I bet you think
I hide myself
for the sake of being hidden.
you act like it's forbidden
to break in here
to break me out
to break the bricks.
I build walls
not to keep people away
but to see who cares
enough break them down.
