a simple party it had started
drink after drink
my words to slur
unaware of your presence
coaxing me up those stairs
the pain that came, so easily soothed
the booze that filled my veins
my cries to you
none to stop
none to care
my innocence you had took
holding it with pride
your presence
unaware
the morning comes
a walk of shame
I must make
down these shady stairs
my story for all
now they know

your end has come
you rest in peace
you a died a hero
my innocence held with pride

you took from me
yet still i see
a love for you
a place deep inside

my journey I make
a story to build
these chapters I write
one just for you
to call your own
THE LEAST YOU CAN DO

years have gone
your story untold

their hero you remain
respect for you I sacrifice
doing so in vein
