"God helps those who help themselves"

Flying into a storm,
Dancing away into the night;
Curving like a camel,
Shimmying with pride;
No shyness can hold down
What the heart has and wishes to show:
It's the sound of the tabla
And the flight of the eagle that awaken.
Glory amidst applause
Feels its way in-
I cannot say the words that may
Express my homeland-love.
The majestic eagle takes its flight here,
So does the Tower of Hope rise;
Roads leading to heaven
Carve their way in the midst of diurnal courses.
No ship of glory holds jewels
That that of the desert does not.
I can dance to glory
Whilst the heat soothes the skin;
Applauding value comes in
And my mind it does harness.
So, in my mind I've found
What peace I had lost;
Or so it may have seemed
But life has found its love.
My homeland I am in,
The desert rose does speak-
Of the sun, hymns it sings
And in slumber, the past relive.
