The Plastic Clip
The Piranha can be found
Lurking in the reefs
Hungry,
Gnawing,
Camouflaged, in the depths of
The frizzy layered waves.
Its needle point teeth mesh
Into its common, daily prey.
Latching onto these thick roots
Is where the Piranha stays.
This flesh like eating predator
Is attracted to my scent, and
Has no appetite for meat
All day long
It clasps onto my golden locks
I let it hold my hair my in place.
When you hear the hinge
Of the plastic teeth
“snap”
Watch your fingers, because
The Piranha is near.
