Betrayal
Breaks you from the inside
You gave your life, your love,
To these people,
And when they break it,
They break you too.
Why can’t you
Just keep it inside?
So it can never be touched
Because the people you have
Are betrayers.
Grind the stones,
Shape the mortar.
It’s time to build the wall.
You tried to procrastinate
You tried to forgive and love.
But that simply won’t do.
Building the wall
You’re the wall
You grow up faster.
And you can’t be broken.
