My Best Dream Ever

I had a dream the other night.
You were in it.
We were happy and laughing.
I've never seen you smile so much.
You had your arms wrapped around my waist.
And your eyes were locked on mine.
A slow song came on the radio.
We danced slowly, not missing a beat.
Nothing else mattered, it was just me and you.
Then it all stopped.
It was quiet and dark.
You held me close and whispered, "I love you so much."
You released my hand, and left me there all alone.
My best dream ever turned out to be my worst nightmare!
