It's Exactly What You Think
It begins slowly and seems like nothing.
But as days fly by, it decides to take hostage.
It curls up within you,
Making your heart jump for joy.
It conquers your thoughts and feelings,
Not allowing you to choose for yourself.
Before you know it, you find yourself smiling at the sound of his name,
His silly texts,
His perfect smile,
His gorgeous appearance.
You begin to lose control,
You’re mind racing,
You’re blood running with adrenaline at the speed of light.
You go back to the day where it seemed harmless,
Where it didn’t seem dangerous,
And that’s when you realize you’re a victim.
You put bits and pieces together and you have an epiphany.
You understand what this is,
You recognize this feeling-
Love.
