An Apology
Nine years ago never would have imagined it to end like this
 It crumbled with a kiss
The blue eyed brunette basketball player
Better known as “the girl with the golden arm”
 She was the athletic tomboy
 Fast forward to high school
Traded in the cap for a straightener
And the basketball shorts for a mini skirt
 A different person then before
Still someone to call a friend
 But a friend to others
 Always a loyal friend
May not have agreed with the people loyal to
Just believe that it’s never too late
Although this is more than overdue
 It is an apology
Also a request to forget what has been said and what has been done
Because true friends are there till the end even if you don’t want them there
