Beyond My Reach
There must be something I have missed, everyone around is smiling while my lips are left unkissed, their laughter pierces through my heart, these people smiling are the same ones that tore me apart, showing such animosity toward the girl that lives staring in her notebook, they don't even realize what all they took, the boy that took away my innocence, I can't block out all the names I have been called since, the old saying goes that sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me, I don't know what kind of eccentric world they were living in but it must be one where everyone is free, one that I know is make believe.
