Lessons from Lucifer
In this grave of life and death
Lies the souls of Hell and Earth
Give me love or give me hate
Give me sorrow, show me faith.
But in my dreams, I do awake
To a life unlived in another’s haste.
I’m hungry for your hearts, your souls,
Not a story that is untold.
Live a life of sin and greed.
Next thing you know, you’ll come to me.
Not the gates of Heaven, but Hell
For man’s life is full of nothing to tell
Except of evils, horrors, and sins of the weak
That even I, the Devil, daren’t speak.
You may protest, you may say,
“But I have done good in many days.”
“Many days,” you say, but what of the others?
Those days that you hurt, that you pried when you shouldn’t.
It kills me, it kills you, it kills us all in a way
But there’s nothing more to do, nothing else to say.
Don’t speak again and maybe you’ll learn
Or these lessons from Lucifer.
