You are the barbed wire stuck in my thigh
biting deep and holding fast
releasing pent-up anger
you are the hook in my lip
forcing my eyes to stare into yours
you are the stinger in my palm
stuck there, snapping nerves
you are the whip across my back
punishing me
you are my drug and my poison
my sedative and my thrill
the stab that kills me
and I can never get enough

This is about being stuck in a relationship and having no where to turn to and feeling the pain of never wanting to leave that person even though it is for your own good.
