Love Yourself.... FIRST!

Before you can love someone, you need to love yourself, no duh rite?
Well explain to me why all those people in verbal and physical abuse situations, didn't love themselves enough to get out. Tell me why people take their lives because of relationships gone wrong, they don't love themselves enough to try again. Tell me why women look for security in men, and not in themselves. So love yourself before you love another isn't such an easy rule, is it?
