The meadows
They are under attack
Their beauty smothered

The cedars
Their sweeping bows reaching reaching out for a hug
One that they'll never get

The animals
Frozen, slumbering, or dead

It is the truth of winter
The mountains are under attack

Everybody is like "oh winter is so pretty". Winter has never been pretty to me, all I find is death.

Gil: I would like you to read my novel and get your opinion.
Ernest Hemingway: I hate it.
Gil: You haven't even read it yet.
Ernest Hemingway: If it's bad, I'll hate it. If it's good, then I'll be envious and hate it even more. You don't want the opinion of another writer.

Ooh nice :). You're right, many people just say how pretty winter is, but don't think of the flip side of it. My only suggestion would be to either put a comma after the first "reaching" in the 5th line or just take one of the "reaching"s ours. But otherwise, very nice! :) 5/5
