The aroma of chestnuts roasting over a fire fills the air.
Rosy cheeks and pink noses surround the warmth of the blaze.
Laughs and smiles express the sincere feel of the season.
The world turns kind; if only for a while.
The giving and receiving of love is alive in our hearts.
The promise of a new year brings life to the souls of our neighbors.

The poem reflects my love of the Christmas spririt and that time of year.
