The world is so big and you are so small,
Its potential is too hard to grasp,
You realize as your eyes graze the harbor far beyond your reach.
You squint, but you can’t distinguish the sky from the sea
Past the crisp white sails of the creatures that make their home here.
You are a speck painted on a blue-gray canvas.
Though the ocean is a cluster of infinite brush strokes,
You stand alone
As just
One.
