Temple
The halls are full of wonder
The doors are full of light
Yet I could not open them,
No matter how hard I tried
The windows never shatter
They sparkle in the light,
They will never open though
They keep their seals tight
The eaves echo with lost sound,
Gleeful in its making
They curve off into nothingness,
Carrying the reverberation
The walls are sturdy and strong,
Standing firm against intrusion
They guard secrets never told,
They do it with dignity,
The lies I tell myself
Are beautiful in construction
No-one will ever know
The true state of my temple.
