The Darkness

As the fog drifted
Along the sea
It brought along with it
A short but dark plea

Let me into your mind
Let me see to your soul
Let me capture your heart
Let the darkness take hold

Do not tell anyone
Of the darkness that holds
A grip on your mind
And influences your soul

Soon you will see
The goodness it brings
Oh the darkness
I love how it clings

Don't try to hide
It's a wonderful thing
So go find the corrupt
And tell them to sing

Of the darkness
That drifts
Along the sea
