The Battle
She struggled with her life
There was no cure
No one could help her
She was quite sure.
With all the sickness
And all the pain
There was nothing she could do
To escape the strain.
Tears filled her eyes
When she thought of her past
It was going so well
And it left so fast.
Each day she fought
With all her might
Thinking one day
Things would be alright.
That day never came
She said goodbye
She lost her life
And went to the sky.
She was a strong girl
She always had an answer
With endless courage and a smile
She lost her battle against cancer.
Never forgotten
And in memories forever
Her story will inspire
In every endeavor.
