Never Lonely

Sometimes I wonder
If I am ever truly alone.
I am accompanied always
By a friend who never speaks.
She is a simple reflection
Of myself:
One cast by sunlight.
My shadow, will never leave me.
Sometimes, when the sun is high
Or the sky is dark,
She hides,
But only for a little while.
I know she is there
Even when I cannot see, because every morning,
She is there again,
To keep me company:
Never lonely
