All hope said so long.
It’s remains are now gone.
All that is left is our voices.
That regret making poor choices.
Realizing there was nothing to gain.
Now souls are tainted with dark pain.
The world was once bright,
even throughout the night.
Now a darkness hangs over head,
Taunting children tucked in bed.
Ourselves we curse,
for making this world much worse.
Mistakes were made.
Now deep debts linger, unpaid.
