The warming glow of tungsten encased in glass casts upon the moth
Amber circles set on a yellow blanket unfold
Unique and majestic yet
Only three days of life
It has not the ability to know so
Carefree yet mastered flight takes it
When can a human hold the same attitude?
When can a human fly like a Comet Moth?

The author's comments:
I was glancing at the Comet Moth I have framed on my wall which made me begin to think about it and marvel at how it is rare and unique for it only lives approximately three days as an adult. From there, I allowed my mind to be the moth when it was enjoying its days as an adult in Madagascar.
