Treading Water
It has Always Been A Struggle
To Keep My Head Above The Water
To keep my head where the world moves
And the buzz of humanity fills my ears
But As The Waves Wash Over My Face
I Disappear In The Endless wake
Falling deeper into the blue
I fight to push my head back up
Back into the world
Where the sun beats hot against my face
But I cannot do it
I cannot win
So I let myself slip
Until I hit The Sandy Bottom
And one last time I open my ears
And all I hear is nothing
