She’s the only one who’s seen
The real me
Not the nice girl
Or the energetic one
Definitely not
The innocent one
She has seen it all
The darkness
That drowned me
And the light
That revived me
I was lost
Giving in
To temptations
Seeking affection
In the most
Twisted of ways
I was falling
Deeper and deeper
Into a life
Of emptiness
She saw me slipping
Away from her
And the life I once loved
Teetering on the edge
Ready to jump
Into the arms
Of evil
So she flung herself
Into the fire
Saving me
From my demons
Bringing me back
To myself
