Our Future Unknown

Out of my life you have become,
Sinking in the reality hits hard.
Etched in my head all memories of you,
Forever engraved unable to remove.
Two years over I wish I could redo,
Changing the things I did to you.
Removing the lies and losing the fights,
The path we took was just not right.
Over and over I think to myself,
How could I let it have come to this.
Meant to be we may not have been,
But the damage has been dealt unable to mend.
In the future our feelings may change,
Finding their way together our hearts may once more engage.
