Stagefright
The stage is set, and the audience awaits
You make your way up the steps, keeping your breath at an even pace
All eyes are on you, and you are terrified
And the only thing that keeps you going, is looking into her eyes
At first you don’t see her, and your note goes out of tune
Then the lights come on around you, and you see her in the room
You hold your breath, and start again without a single mistake
Then towards the end you take a bow, holding your bow above your face
The audience cheers and you look out, she’s no longer there
She’s no longer there, but on her chair is a single note
That says “Congrats on the beautiful song”
