Let it Shine
1)The sun shines in, into your room
That was once so dark, and filled with gloom
But you opened the shades and let the sun shine in
And that’s how your love to me has been
2) There was a time, when I could cry
Cry for hours, hoping to die
The death wouldn’t come, and exhaust came
From all this effort of not saying your name
3) You filled my mind, and like a drug
Possessed my heart, making no room to love
After all we’ve been through, after all we’ve done
I’d like to know that we both have won
4) Though I still can’t sleep, and lay awake
You sleep, but your dreams will stay unchanged
You dream of that sun that once shined in
It shined so brightly, yet you wouldn’t let it in
So you closed the shades, forcing it to end
And that’s how your love to me has been
