An Unlit Path
I stood in the wake of devastation
I waited on the edge of unknown
I thought our relationship had steady foundation
But no love from you was shone
Your heartless winds kept blowing
And my cloudless sky grew dark
My sadness kept on growing
And in to a world of loneliness I began to embark
I was so cold and lost
My path was unlit
Heart covered in frost
I tore through the grit
I remember when my heart bled
But that just goes to show
People should not easily be trusted
I had to let you go
