I wonder if the earth will last forever
I hear my pencil move swiftly across my paper
I see the beautiful autumn leaves change from green to red
I want to be a great artist one day

I pretend that no animal will ever die of starvation
I feel at peace when I paint my many feelings
I touch the hopes of animals every where when I refuse to litter
I worry that something will happen to make me ineligible to paint ever again
I cry every time an animal is beaten senseless

I understand that sometimes I have to put down my pencil
I say “We should all do our part to help nature”
I dream of owning my own art gallery
I try to plant something every year to help the earth
I hope people will learn to respect the beauty in the Adirondack Mountains like I have come to do
