I pour my emotions on the page
Words drip drop like water
The pencil and paper become
My stage
My eyes acting as windows
Allowing inspiration to
flow through
They are the connections to my soul
Carriers of my fate
But my poetry carries the keys to
My heart
The souls golden ageless gate

What inspired me to write this poem is the thought of what inspires me to write. I guess I decided on the endless want to express myself through the beautiful art form of poetry.
