A galaxy of longing,
Floating through
The empty of space,
Searching for something
To satisfy it's hurting.
Loneliness seeps through it's core
And disappears through
The black hole within,
Only to return again
And do the same once more.

But little does the galaxy know
That what it longs for
Is only just inside
It's own spiraling body.
The planets growing, evolving, changing;
Revolving around such
bright, beautiful suns.
Unlike the unchanging galaxy,
Slowly moving 'round
The endless dark pit of emotions.

This was a warm-up for my creative writing class, actually.
