They said ‘hang on in there’
But to what?
They said ‘you’ll find another’
But when?
I have not yet
I wish I could get
To a place I want to be
To things I want to see
But as I am
I cannot breathe
I cannot leave
This misery here
It makes it clear
As I am, on this day,
I cannot live, i cannot stay.

The author's comments:
This is a poem I wrote about my depression and the suicidal thoughts I am feeling, related to a break up, and my anxiety.
