"Wisdom eventually comes to all of us, someday it might even be your turn." - David Eddings

Fire rages,
Across my mind, across my eye
I am blinded
Blood boils,
In my body, in my head
Thoughts are blocked
Words roll
Off my tongue, on my emotion
I am angry
Cannons fire,
Flying quick, flying smooth
My gut drops
Memory fails,
Visions play, sound is mute
I don’t know what I have said
Blood rushes,
To my face, to my head
Rationality begins to return
Color drains,
From my façade, from my surroundings
I have hurt someone
Tears burn,
Behind my eyes, under my skin
I cannot – must not – cry; tears make me seem weak, if they only knew my fight

The author's comments:
I wrote this after I said something I sincerely regretted to my mother and my older sister. Sometimes I lose myself in my anger and the only way I can escape is by writing.
