A clear and crisp day that holds a promise”
A clear and crisp day that holds a promise
of no rain, no wind, no clouds, and no snow
The birds fly south looking like a rhombus
across the sky. It’s like they’re in a show.
The ever slightly pale blue streaks the sky
At times it feel that it will never fade
The feel of fall is like a sad good-bye
A big oak tree that used to share some shade
Is now bare except for some shades of red
and burnt orange. The leaves are scattered fast
in the air and twirl around me like Fred
my bird, does. Some streetlamps where I walk cast
a yellow glow on my face. The coldness
is harsh. Reflect on fall and it
s boldness.
