Falling in a Dream

I am falling
Falling, falling, falling.
Into a place I do not know

And as I fall
I see colors and shapes
That slowly turn into memories
Memories of happy times
Things I don’t want to remember too.

And all the time I am falling
Falling into the unknown

And the memories fade
And all goes dark
But I am still falling
Falling into the darkness
Not knowing when I will stop

Until suddenly
I am awake
