Me vs. You

A petal in the rose garden
A gunshot in Iraq
A drop of water in a massive wave
A dream in Sleeping Beauty's endless night.

An orchid in a concrete crack
A vibrant shooting star in an inky, cloud filled night
The kiss to wake Snow White
A smile in a world of anger

Sunlight in darkness
Love amongst apathy
Tears aside peace
Death within life

You ask me;
"Which am I, and what are you?"

Are we not both?

The sweet note from a piano nestled within the symphony
One blink of an eye in a lifetime
A strand of cotton in a blanket
But also
The first drop of rain in a drought
The innocence in a child's eyes
A compliment given instead of an insult thrown?

One without the other is not possible.

To force fame upon yourself is invisibility.

Therefore;

We must be the moon

As well as the sun.
