Roses are red
Violets are blue
Words cannot explain my feelings for you

I never got to say that day,
I love you in every which way

We may only be related by heart,
But does not make it easy to part

I wish that day never came,
But now these feelings I have to tame

I always think you will walk through the door,
I have to know it will not happen anymore

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem after my Papa passed away from a battle of cancer October 8th. About a month later a teacher at my school was killed. This poem may seem like it wouldn't take long to write, but it took maybe about 3 weeks because i just kept adding every time i thought about something. Most of the time it was just a note in my phone. RIP Papa and Mr.(Coach) Blanchette
