It’s only a state of mind
To be different or distinct
To be a color in a masterpiece.
Racial or religious
One dollar or a million
We were made perfectly.
You’re beautiful
Shake your insecurities
Be yourself, Be loud!
The rainbow comes after the rain
Let your heart run wild.
There’s no place His love doesn’t reach
It’s tolerance
Make a difference
Take me there
Diverse City

When asked to write with the prompt "Diversity means…" this is the poem I have composed. I wrote this for my 12AP English class.

Thank you very much for all the support and time spent on this page.  The subject matter within this poem stands against bullying and I hope it serves as an inspiration to be who you are, a beautiful and perfectly made person.  Don't back down, fight to make your impression in this world because those of us who have been persecuted for being individuals are doing something right.  It is the people who don't know what it's like to stand for something that harass because they don't have the bold courage it takes to stand up and say something.  I hope you find the same or more inspiration in this poem that I feel.
