You see, my mule don't like people laughing. It gives him the crazy idea you're laughing at him.

As I walk into this place,
I feel the emptiness upon me.
I look around for a familiar face--
but no one surronds me.

It hit me, then as I stood
On this saddened ground.
I fell to my knees, as I should,
Crying when I'm down.

I picture eyes golden brown
Happy as can be. I
Whisper him a quiet sound--
A Silent Melody.

Now I lay all alone
Not knowing what to do.
This place that is my home
Is lonely without you.

What has inspired this piece, is the loneliness of death. Death is all around us, and we cannot escape from its evil clutches.
