Used to yell all the time
Now dangerously mute
Never ran out of things
To say
Now running out of
Small talk
Building up the big talk
Of personal thoughts and
Feelings
Still too new for anyone
To understand
How this state of
Confusion and slight
Loneliness
Is heavy and pure
Enough to break
Bones
Hearts
And minds
To shatter egos
Rearrange thought processes
Crush old hopes and dreams
Sink grades like the Titanic
Erase passions and desires
Delete good habits
Replace 'em with bad
And send you into
Spiraling insanity
Look on the bright side...
You'll never need drugs
