Hurricane Sabrina

A statue made of fools gold dedicated to a fool’s tool.
It stares me in the face in mockery.
Left standing aside forgotten black wires,
I’m sure it shouldn’t be here.
And yet it remains.
A dusty five inch reminder of the unexpected twists in life.
Of the sorrow selfish minds inflict on the lives once considered dearly beloved.
It shows what happens when one leaves their soul vulnerable;
How Satan sicks his demons on a family’s stability.
That little 2009 Flesher’s of Fairview Best Dressed mica coated
Fallen angel of an award recollects the debris left behind by
Hurricane Sabrina.
It reminds us all of how strong we’ve grown; how far we’ve come.
And why we should never look back.

This was written because of what my Uncle's wife put their family through. I figured she deserved it.

I am a raven. I am a crow. I am a nappy bat. I am a mosquito. Call me anything black that has wings and flies.
