The phone rings.
I sit there watching football.
I get up and leave.
Open the door.
Wind blowing like a train going by.
The leaves are wrestling as I take my first steps outside.
I sprint across the lawn.
I get to my grandma's house.
I open the door and the smell of pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce catches my attention.
My Pop-pop is sitting down drinking his beer I sit on the couch across from him.
My grandma offers me some eggnog.
I accept her offer.
She gets me a glass.
The TV then reads "touchdown Giants."
I go nuts standing and cheering.
My grandma's dog sits next to me as I sit.
The timer dings.
Stuffing, turkey, green beans, cranberry sauce, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, baked potatos, gravy, corn, carrots, and the smell of good times all around.
Everyone sits around.
We all say grace and dig in.
I was so hungry I stuffed my cheeks like a chipmunk does with acorns.
We finish dinner and out comes my favorite part... dessert.
Pumpkin pie, bread pudding, rice pudding, pumpkin roll, desserts as far as the eye can see.
The final piece of pie is cut and everyone finishes there dessert as the final plays of the football game are ran with this note Thanksgiving is over.
So I ask you.
What do you hear on thanksgiving
