Short Life
As I looked into
Those crystal blues,
I saw the face
I always knew.
I searched your eyes,
And you searched mine.
We stood in silence,
Our hands intertwined.
You held me close,
We didn’t say a word.
But as the sun set,
My vision blurred.
I knew it was time
To say goodbye,
I released your hand,
And began to cry.
I didn’t see you after that,
I couldn’t stand the pain.
That same night,
I went insane.
Not long after,
We ended our lives.
I see him now,
We both used knives.
