Friendship is a word only used for those close to the heart
Friends are those you remember even after they are gone
They are the ones who will endure whatever you go through
Any advice they give you is always true
They are the only ones that throughout your life will keep it real
And without you saying will know how you feel
They are the light in the darkness and even the darkness in your light
And for that reason you'll want to protect them with all of your might
They're what I live for and why I breathe
Yet what people still don't see
Is that my friends mean more to me than my family
