All is Fair.
We haven't said hardly anything this week.
It's like I don't know you much anymore.
There was a passageway between our hearts,
and you seem to have closed the door.
We have no real eye contact,
Just all those awkward glances.
This obviously is going nowhere.
I've given it enough chances.
I don't really think about you,
But I used to, day and night.
We seem to have grown apart,
and I guess for you, that's alright.
Some things aren't meant to happen,
Some aren't meant to last.
That must apply to us.
All we are is in the past.
"All is fair in love and war."
I think that's what they say.
But this doesn't seem too fair.
I always thought we'd find a way.
