A Promise

You whisper it to me
and ask could I keep it

"Of course I can"
I said it, I mean it

I crossed my heart
where the promise was sealed

And you gave me a look
that now I could feel

I gave you my word
you gave me your secret

Trapped in my head
never will I free it

Only something
you and I know

A promise I held
but not to let go

Inspired by what I want someone to tell me and to let them know "I won't tell anyone about this.". So that thatperson would know that 'it's okay to tell me' feeling is there.
