Her long stringy hair,
weighed down with dampness,
nearly reached the ground and swayed
gently like an abandoned playground swing.

Her lengthy bowed arms,
twisted and knobby with age,
curved from the fight of reaching sun
for season after season—always struggling.

Her deeply scarred face,
withered with deep pockmarks,
sagged under the weight of frequent
downpour—soft skin swollen like ripe fruit.
